One of the moments which inspired me to start designing my bridle was my young thoroughbred whom I was retrained to event. He was a cheeky chappy and I was having issues with bridlework and a frequently appearing tongue waggling out of the side of his mouth! There was a couple of options on the market but as a equine groom I simply did not have the capital to invest half a months wages on a performance bridle.
I approached Cathy Keefe of CK Equine as I had been given a voucher and from there I started working with her and our performance bridle started to take shape.
The base idea of my company is to provide top quality and comfort for the horse which is affordable to everyone.
Once this start up business has found its feet I will be providing a hire service and a payment plan options to further expand availability to anyone who wants to have a happier equine friend.
Policies relating specifically to hiring a bridle
The hire period is 14 days from when you receive the bridle. If you have any queries whilst you have the bridle on hire, please contact me. Please take care of the bridle and keep it in good condition during the hire period. Damaged or broken bridles cannot be returned.
The bridle must be back with “Bigg Comfort Bridle” before the Hire End Date to avoid refusal of refund, the item being returned to you and further postal charges being incurred. It is your responsibility to ensure that the bridle is kept safe from damage, theft and loss during the trial period.
Cleaning your Bridle
All bridles must be returned in clean condition and we ask that you wash the leather gently but thoroughly with warm soapy water to remove any dirt, grease etc and conditioned with a non-glycerine leather balsam or cream. All bridles returned to “Bigg Comfort Bridle” will be disinfected thoroughly. Bigg Comfort Bridle cannot be held responsible for any diseases, infections, viruses or mouth or medical conditions that appear after hiring a bridle from us.
Returning your Hire Bridle
It is recommended that any items for return are sent by Special Delivery to ensure that you are fully covered for compensation should the parcel go astray. Bigg comfort bridle cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage in the post. Refunds less the hire charge of 25% bridle cost are processed within 2 days of receiving the item back.

Buying your Bridle in Installments
Please choose the "Buy in Instalments" option on the website and specify what Instalment plan you would like to choose (2 payments of £67.50 over 2 months or 3 payments of £45 over 3 months). An invoice will be sent out and when the item is paid for in full your reserved item will be posted. Payment is made securely online via Paypal and is safe and secure.
